Anthony P. Petrone, 89, passed away peacefully at home in Medford on May 23rd, 2010. He was born in Everett on August 17th, 1920 to his parents Nicholas and Margaret (Vardaro) Petrone. Anthony was raised and educated in Everett, graduating from Everett High School, Class of 1938. During World War 2, he served his country honorably as a soldier in the United States Army. For most of his adult life, Anthony worked as a machinist for the Hardware Products Company in Boston’s North End. He is a faithful parishioner at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden and is also a member of the American Legion in Medford. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Marino) Petrone; the father of 3 loving sons; Paul Petrone of Woburn, Richard Petrone and his wife Mary Jo of Medford and Michael Petrone and his wife Bonnie of China, Maine; and the father to his devoted daughter Deborah Petrone of Medford; the grandfather of Catherine, Annie, Betsy, Kaitlyn, Michaela and Christina; and the brother of Divina Petrone of Malden and the late Patrick and Leonard Petrone and Anne Manning. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Mary Sampson of Medford and by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday May 26th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday May 25th from 4-8 PM.
