Dolores (Rego) Paiva, age 86, of Somerset, entered into rest May 21, 2010. She was the wife of the late Anibal Botelho Paiva, the daughter of the late Manuel S. & Maxmina (Nunes) Rego, and the step-daughter of the late Maria (Tavares) Rego. Dolores attended Fall River schools and moved to Somerset in 1969. Prior to retiring in 1985, Dolores worked for Bradley Scott Men’s Clothing as a Sobar Operator. She had previously worked at Terminal Bakery, Soloff & Sons, & Sagamore Cloth Room. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. & a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan & husband Robert E. Lima & Cheryl A. & husband Carl Bryan all of Somerset. 3 grandsons, Andrew & Matthew Lima, and Tyler Fonseca all of Somerset. 1 brother, Alvin S. Rego & wife Louise of Foxboro & Punta Gorda, FL. 2 nieces, Carol Rego of Foxboro & Sabina Rocha Baldino of CT. Sister in law, Hortense Rego. She was the sister of the late Edwin S. Rego.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. WEDNESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Calling hours TUESDAY 4-7 P.M.
