Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Jayne U. (Dulong) Hollis, 62, of Wheeler’s Point, died early Friday morning, May 21, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.
Born in Somerville on August 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Stanley L. and Janet C. (Purdy) Dulong.
Jayne was a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1965. She also graduated from North Shore Community College and received a BA in history from Simmons College.
Jayne worked for many years in the field of human services beginning at Greater Cape Ann Human Services and later at NUVA, Inc., the Forest Foundation and most recently at CAB Health and Recovery Services.
She loved to read history and literature and was fascinated by other cultures. Jayne most enjoyed children, especially her nephews, whose complete honesty in all things delighted her.
She is survived by her sisters, Leslie “Penny” Sinclair, wife of Frank of Gloucester, Paige Parisi, wife of Joe, Lee Sylva, wife of Michael all of Florida, her brother, Craig Dulong, husband of Sash Ludwig of Gloucester, two nieces, Holly Wieckowski and her husband Steve, Kristin Murray and her husband, Matt, a nephew, Ben Dulong and two grandnephews, Hunter and Logan Wieckowski all of Gloucester.
In keeping with her wishes, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Child Fund, 2821 Emorywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294-3726 or the Sawyer Free Library, 2 Dale Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930.
