Rita A. Pouliot, 87, of Manchester, died May 20, 2010 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester, August 3, 1922 to Aime and Mary (Bienvenue) Simard. She lived most of her life in Manchester.
She was a retired shoe worker and had worked for Manchester Wood Heel Co.
Rita was predeceased by her husband, Severin C. Pouliot, who died in 1992.
She was a member of Parish of the Transfiguration.
She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid cribbage player.
Family members include two sons, Leonard Pouliot of Manchester and Edmond Pouliot of Pittsfield, NH; two daughters, Elaine Belliveau of Bedford and Jeannine Denoncourt of Manchester; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a brother, Leonce “Leo” Simard of Goffstown; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, May 24, 2010 at Parish of the Transfiguration. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
