WORCESTER – Oscar J. Gervais, 79, of 22 Haynes Street died Thursday, October 30 in his home after an illness.
His wife Loretta (Keefe) Gervais died in 1980. He leaves a son Thomas M. Gervais of Worcester; two daughters Joyce M. Gervais and her companion Eddie J. Corricelli with whom he lived and Ellen T. Gervais of Stafford Springs, CT; a sister Noella Tambolleo of Worcester; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester son of John and Eva (Lavallee) Gervais.
He was a Navy Veteran and worked as a custodian for the Worcester Public Schools for over 30 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Main South American Legion Post #341.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 3 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street (www.royfuneral.com) with a mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be held at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 2 from 1 to 4 PM in the funeral home.
