METHUEN – Lourdes G. “Lou” (Andrews) Groswald 84 of Methuen died Tuesday May 18, 2010 at Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born and educated in Methuen, where she was a longtime resident, she was the daughter of Americo and Gloria (Santos) Andrews. For many years she was employed with the Honeywell Corporation and was and attendant at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. She loved horse racing, traveling to Atlantic City and Las Vegas, Bingo, playing cards with family and friends. Lou also enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially with her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 57 years Edward G. Groswald of Methuen. She is also survived by her children Kenneth J. Connors and his wife Barbara of North Andover, MA, Gail R. Groswald of Salem, NH, and Paula J. Gaudette and her husband James of Sandown, NH.
1 sister Elizabeth Sheehan of Methuen, MA.
Grandchildren Daniel, Kelly, Rory, Tara , Hollie, Kal`ey and Jaclyn Gaudette.
7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts 331 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472. At the request of the family there are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday at 11:00a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. Burial will be private and take place at a later date at the families convenience.
