Richard Milan of Sagamore Beach and Naples, Florida and formerly of Hingham passed away on May 19. He was 76 years old. Born in Boston he worked for the Boston Police Department until retirement. After retirement he worked at the Boston Police Stress Unit for 10 years. Richard was in the U.S. Air Force and is a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Boston Police Patrolman’s Association and the Elks Lodge in Weymouth and Naples, Florida. He also was a member of the American Legion, Morissette Post. Richard enjoyed doing carpentry and playing golf. Richard was the loving husband of Gloria (Ruhland) Milan of Sagamore Beach. Father of Kenneth Milan and his wife Jean and Paul Milan and his wife Katie. He was the brother of the late Joseph Milan and sisters Janice and Eleanor. Richard was the grandfather of Derek, Stephanie, Malorie, Jennifer, Brittney, and Rachel. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Manomet on Monday, May 24th at 12:00 PM. Visitation will take place at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday, May 23rd from 1:00-5:00 PM.
