Rosaria (Marra) Grasso, 87, of Mansfield formerly of Roslindale and Italy passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday May 19, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Fortunato Grasso and was the former wife of the late Giovanni Cuscina.
Born in Sicily, Italy on March 31, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Angela (Romano). Rosaria grew up and was educated in Italy. She moved to the United States in 1965, first settling in Roslindale and later moved to Mansfield where she had made her home for the past 20 years.
A dedicated homemaker to her loving family, Rosaria was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield and while living in Roslindale was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
She loved times spent in the presence of her adoring family and enjoyed watching the Italian channel on television, and when younger was an avid gardener.
The loving mother of the late Mario Cuscina who passed away on July 13, 2001 she is survived by her devoted daughter in law Domenica Cuscina of Mansfield and her cherished grandson Giovanni A. Cuscina of Mansfield. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday May 22nd at 9:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to services on Saturday morning beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
