Brenda L. Hammond, 50, of Peoria, IL passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18 after a long fight against pancreatic cancer.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1959, in East St. Louis, IL, to Edward and Patricia Arnold.
Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Hammond and Nichole Henson (Nick Henson-father/caregiver); one son, Josh Hammond; her mother, Patricia Arnold; two sisters, Sherrie Arnold and Joyce Steinbrueck; and one brother, Wayne Arnold, Jr. She was preceded in death by her father.
Brenda loved life, her kids, family, and friends. She always had a positive attitude and outlook on life and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved crafts, grocery shopping, but most of all she loved her hearts.
She was a member of the New Apostolic Church 5341 N. Sheridan Rd. Peoria, IL where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service, beginning at noon. Cremation rites have been accorded
