Margaret Lambert, 81, of Fitzgerald died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Cole and the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lambert was born September 17, 1928 in Wilcox County to the late J.R. Fitzgerald and the late Mary Wilcox. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1949. Mrs. Lambert was a former employee of Lowell Packing Company. She attended The Church Of The Nazarene and Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband: Roland G. Lambert of Fitzgerald; children: Sherry White & Darrell of Hogansville, Betty Altman & Andrew of Blackshear, Melissa Truelove Taylor Harper & Earnest of Fitzgerald and Glen Lambert, Jr. & Dana of Fitzgerald; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Teresa Diane Stephens.
