Obituary

Hazel C. (Freeman) Robar, 96, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Easton and Whitman, died surrounded by her loving family at home on Tuesday May 18th. She was the wife of the late Stanley M. Robar.

Hazel was born in Boston, daughter of the late Everett N. and Carrie M (Toombs) Freeman.

She grew up in Whitman and was a graduate of Whitman High School, Class of 1932.Hazel and her husband were owners of the former Whitman Laundromat.

She was a member of the Covenant Congregational Church in North Easton, where she took part in Friendship Club and Bible studies. She had an extraordinary love of children and was known as “Gram” to all.
She was a loyal Boston sports fan, especially to the Celtics. She also enjoyed gardening and had a tremendous love for flowers.

Hazel is survived by 3 children, Everett S. and his wife Nancy, of Lee, NH, Donald E. and his wife Elaine of New London, NH, Judith VanWormer of East Bridgewater. She was the loving grandmother of Andrew Robar of MN, David Robar of NH, Nancy (Robar)Triolo of NY, Jeff Robar of NH, Susan Robar of NH and Kristin VanWormer of East Bridgewater. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Brandon, Jaimee, Ben, Tom, Sam and Peyton, who were her pride and joy.

Her services will be held on Saturday May 22nd at 2:00PM, in the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., North Easton, MA. Her interment will follow in the Northville Cemetery, East Bridgewater, MA. Calling hours will be held on Friday May 21st from 4:00-8:00PM also in the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., North Easton, MA
