Katherine Thompson Mayer, 89, Clarksville, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Father Mickie Richaud and The Rev. Dorothy Hartzog officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service Saturday at the church. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 2, 1921 in Tampa, Florida, daughter of the late Carroll Thompson and Helen Atkins Thompson. Mrs. Mayer was a member of DAR, a Red Cross Volunteer with a thirty year pin, officer of Community Concert Association, and a member of Friends of the Library. She was a active member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Jack Mayer; daughter, Carol Mayer Adams, Marietta, GA; brother, Carroll R.
