Mrs. Carol F. Morganelli, of Burlington formerly of Medford passed away May 16th, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of George D. Morganelli and together they shares more than 52 years of marriage. Born in Boston, Carol was the daughter of the late Roger and Phyllis (DeLuca) Turino.
As a young girl Carol lived in Boston's North End and later moved with her family to Medford where she was a graduate of Medford High School. Shortly following her marriage and starting of a new family, she and her husband settled in Burlington where they have been residents for the past 41 years. Mostly devoted to her family, Carol did find time to work for many years with the Sears Co in Burlington where she worked in both the catalog dept. and as a sales clerk. Carol loved to travel with her family and friends with some of her most memorable trips being to Italy, Las Vegas and Hawaii. She also enjoyed going to bingo and doing arts and crafts, especially crochet work.
In addition to her beloved husband George, Carol is survived by her devoted children, Steven Morganelli and his companion Kathy Casey of Burlington, Karen Floyd and her husband Jack of Hudson, NH, Mark Morganelli and his wife Linda of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Steven II, Daniella and Michael Morganelli, Adam and Mallory Floyd, Caroline and Matthew Morganelli. She is also survived by her cherished sister, Pauline Nordstrom of North Reading and is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, May 20th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Margaret Church, 109 Winn St., Burlington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home will be on Wednesday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in Carol's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
