Obituary

MILLBURY___Rosetta R. (DiPillo) Mietkiewicz, 86, of Millbury, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday May 15, 2010 in her home. Her husband of 57 years, Chester J. Mietkiewicz died in 2006.

She leaves three children, Andrea Mietkiewicz of Old Town, ME, Gail Puris and her husband Philip of Jefferson and Lester Mietkiewicz, M.D. and his wife Cynthia of Millbury; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Susan Weaver in 1997, a brother, John DiPillo in 2002 and a sister, Sophia Y. DiPillo in 2008. She was born in Civitarentenga, Province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy on July 8, 1923 the daughter of the late John and the late Mariannina (DeSantis) DiPillo.

Rosetta was a devoted wife and mother but was also quite adept at aiding her husband in his several business ventures. They were both strong personalities, supporting each other during the trials of life. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester. The family wishes to thank, with special appreciation, Anita Gengarelli and Ellen Mahoney for their loving care given to Rosetta for the past four years.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 19 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 11:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, May 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
