Joe Mack Pyron, 84, Clarksville, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at his residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, TN at 3:00 p.m.. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Monday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born November 13, 1925 in Jackson, TN son of the late John Q. Pyron and Sarah Mai Jeter Pyron. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert "Bobby" and James Lloyd Pyron; and two sisters Jane Pyron Priddy and Nellie Gray Pyron King. He was a member of Excell Baptist Church. He was retired from Bellsouth. Mr. Pyron was a WWII Veteran havin served in the US Navy. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bettye Bishop Pyron; two sons, David Pyron, Cincinnati, OH; and Charles Pyron (Janice), Brentwood, TN; a daughter, Melinda Schwallie (Tom), Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren: Ben Pyron (Melissa), Spring Hill, TN; Blake Pyron (Anna), Spring Hill, TN; Jacob M. Schwallie, Ft. Bragg and presently serving in Iraq; and Rachel C. Schwallie, Clarksville. Special thanks to Gateway Hospice and other caregivers.
