Obituary

Mr. William Clay (W.C.) Moser, Jr. age 84, of Dobson passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Moser was born in Surry County on November 27, 1925 to the late William and Thanie Coe Moser, Sr.
Mr. Moser was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. W.C. built and operated Level Cross Milling Company. He also farmed and spent many hours working flea markets. He served his country during WWII in the US Army where he received the American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and 2 Victory Medals. W.C. was a member of Level Cross United Methodist Church. Mr. Moser is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Harbour Moser; one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Wendy Moser of Dobson; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ken Shaw of Uncertain, TX; four grandsons, Jason and wife Grayson of Pilot Mountain, Jared and wife Ashley of Mt. Airy, and Josh Moser of Dobson, Major Clay and wife Teddi Readinger of Monteray, CA and one granddaughter, Barb Readinger of Carthage, TX; two great grandchildren, Brett Moser and Billi Readinger; five sisters, Hettie Lou and Joe Hobson of Yadkinville, Helen Murko of Roanoke, VA, Louise and John Thompson of Winston-Salem, Ruth and Sam Prim of Carthage, NC and Yvonne and Earl Ring of King.
W.C. was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ray Moser and one sister, Betty Frances Elder. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Level Cross United Methodist Church at 2 P.M. with Rev. Rickey Spencer officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by VFW Post 10346 of Yadkin County. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and other times at the family home.
