New Bedford – Manuel C. Santos, age 92 years, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Mello) Santos, and the loved father of Janet Santos Brown and her husband Phillip of Sunrise Florida. Mr Santos is also survived by 1 niece, 1 nephew and several cousins. He was the brother of the late Joaquim Santos.
Mr. Santos was the son of the late Joseph Esteve and Victoria (Reis) Santos. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. Manuel worked at Continental Screw as a Machine Operator until his retirement. He was a member of the St. James and Mt. Carmel Seniors.
Mr. Santos funeral was private in accordance with his wishes. Burial was at Rural Cemetery. His Arrangements were entrusted to the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
