Sandra M. Mazza, 61, passed away at home in Tewksbury on May 12th, 2010. She was born in Medford on January 9th, 1949 to her parents William L. and Marion (Adams) Hart. Sandra was raised in Charlestown and Somerville and is a Graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in Somerville, Class of 1966’. She has been a resident of Tewksbury for the past 20 years and is a former resident of Chelsea. For over 30 years, Sandra worked as a Registered Nurse at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. She enjoyed many friendships and activities as a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association. She is survived by her husband, Salvatore J. Mazza of Tewksbury; by her children, Victoria Mazza and her wife Laurie Taraskiewicz of Chelsea and John D. Mazza and his former wife Michelle of Revere; by her grandchildren Kylie, Cameron and Corrine; by her great grandchildren Caleb and Alexia; by her mother, Marion (Adams) Hart of Charlestown; and by her siblings, William Hart and his wife Joanne of Windham, NH, Ronnie Kierstead of Florida and Carol Harrington and her husband Henry of Westminster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her father William L. Hart and by her brother-in-law George Kierstead. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday May 18th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday May 17th from 4-8 PM.
