Obituary

Mrs. Marion V. (Shine) Donahue, 90, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, May 12th, 2010 at the Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services in Lawrence, MA.

She was born on January 26th, 1920 in Lawrence to the late Charles A. and Margaret E. (Singleton) Shine. She was educated in the Hood Grammar School and was a 1937 graduate of Saint Mary's High School. Marion was an attendant of Saint Patrick's Church in Lawrence, MA.

She worked for the Wood Mills as the payroll clerk and later worked as a Crossing Guard in Lawrence for some 17 plus years. Marion was a member of the
Saint Patrick's Ladies Sodality.

She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to go out to eat with her family, she loved her home and she especially loved to shop.

Marion lived her life of faith with god and she was devoted to her friends and family. She continuously was a wonderful caregiver to people in time of need; whether they were sick or unable to care for themselves, Marion would always be there to help, she built her life around giving to others.

William Michael Donahue and his wife Marygail of Lowell, MA.
Jeffrey E. Donahue, III and his wife Donna L. of North Andover, MA.

Her sisters: Agnes Griffin of Lawrence, MA and Sr. Margaret Eileen Shine of North Andover, MA.

5 grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Megan, Victoria E, and Jeffrey III. 3 Great Grandchildren: Jack, Connor and Cayden. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Marion and her family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Staff at the Mary Immaculate Health Care Center for the special care and attention that was given during Marion's stay.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 14th, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Patrick's Church in Lawrence, MA.

Burial will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
