Arthur A. Leary, 69 years old, of Brockton died Monday May 10, 2010 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton. He was born in Boston and raised in North Quincy, a son of the late Arthur A. and Marie J. (Forrest) Leary. Arthur lived in North Quincy for many years. He was an altar boy at Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed camping as a Boy Scout in the Blue Hills. He spent eleven years with his sister in Brockton and was active in the community. For the last four years he resided at a Till group home in Bridgewater. Arthur worked at Shoe City Contract with Jay Lynch and his many friends and spent time at the Brockton Adult Medical Center where he enjoyed many activities with the staff. Arthur loved to dance, do his paper work, play with his dog Casey and spent hours in the back yard raking the leaves. Arthur brought lots of love, joy and happiness to his family and friends.
He is survived by a sister Allyne Pecevich of Brockton, nieces and nephews, Elena and Tom Meredith of Hull, Annie and Paul Rolincik of Wellesley, Christine Pecevich and Julie Nau of Northborough and Katherine Pecevich of New York City, two grand nieces and nephews , Jessica, Kylie, Michael and Brian Rolincik and many dedicated caregivers and friends.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish , Brockton at 9am. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, W. Roxbury. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm. Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to the Brockton Area Association for Retarded Citizens, 1250 West Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301.
