Obituary

WORCESTER-Mildred S. Davis, 87, of Worcester died Sunday. May 9th in Saint Vincent Hospital. She leaves four sons, Rudolph H. Davis, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of Pennsylvania , Jeffrey Davis and his wife, Shirley of Maryland, Glenn Davis and his wife Suzanne of Colorado and Michael Davis and his wife, Michele of Idaho; a daughter, Brenda Ainsworth of Worcester; a brother, Elmer Hodges of Oregon; two sisters, Beatrice White and Miriam Kimbar both of Worcester; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a brother, Everett Hodges; a son in law, Charles Ainsworth and a grandson, Rudolph H. Davis, III.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of William and Bertha (Allen) Hodges. Mildred worked as a waitress at various restaurants including Barnards until it closed and also worked as a clerk at Beacon Pharmacy until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed gardening and watching the Red Soxs.
The funeral is Friday, May 14th with a service at 11:00 AM in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1048 Main Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, May 13th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
