LOWELL—Margaret F. (Winters) Buchanan, 86 years old, died late Thursday evening at the Willow Manor Nursing Home, in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Raymond I. Buchanan, to whom she had been married to for 56 years.
She was born in Lowell, on June 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Galbraith and Isabella (Cameron) Winters. She had resided in Chelmsford, Lowell and Scotia, NY, prior to returning to Lowell in 1957.
She had been employed as an Administrative Secretary by John Pilling Shoe Company, in Lowell, General Electric Company, in Schenectady, NY, and the Raytheon Corporation, in Bedford, MA.
She was a member of the Eliot Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are a three nephews: Robert Yates, of Warner, NH; Ronald Yates, of Tyngsboro; and James Winters, of York, ME; five nieces: Joyce Mazur, of Palmer; Isabelle Doty, of North Carolina; Janet Macentee, of Chelmsford; Isabella Kunselman, of Salem; and Faye Yates, of Chelmsford; also several great nieces and great nephews.
Friends may call from 10 AM until 1 PM on Tuesday, Ocvtober 28th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM at the funeral home.
