Pauline Raymond, 88, a nearly lifelong resident of Derry, NH, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 in the Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen, NH. Mrs. Raymond was born in Raymond, NH on January 22, 1922, daughter of the late Howard H. and Jennie F. (Armstrong) Dearborn. As a teen she worked in a shoe shop in Raymond and later worked for Klev Bros. Shoe Shop and Chelmsford Shoe Shop, both in Derry. Pauline also worked as a chamber maid for the Ramada Inn in Salem, NH and worked in the cafeteria at Hadco in Derry before retiring in 1985. Pauline was a homemaker who enjoyed bingo, playing cards and was a fan of the Red Sox. She also enjoyed camping, going out to eat and visiting and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Raymond and his wife Sharron of Loudon, NH and Ronald Raymond of Nashua, NH, five grandchildren, David Raymond of Barrie, VT, Ryan Raymond of Hooksett, NH, Jennifer Raymond of Boca Raton, FL, Brandon Raymond of Bow, NH and Stephen Buzzell of Mississippi, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Paula Jean, a son, Richard Buzzell in 2005, her sister, Dorothy Wiley and her brother, Fred Dearborn.
Visiting hours were held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 6-8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 1:00pm in the funeral home. The burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. The family would like to thank the staff of Merrimack County Nursing Home for their compassionate care and professionalism.
