Arthur H. Lamontagne, 68, of Hawthorne, CA, passed away on April 19, 2010 following a long illness. Arthur was born in Lawrence and raised and educated in Andover. He attended Essex Agricultural School in Danvers. After arriving in CA, Arthur worked for Allen’s Excavating then formed his own business, Art & Sons Excavating, where he was a heavy equipment operator. He has resided in CA for most of his life where he raised his family. In his free time, he enjoyed four wheeling, camping, shooting and spending time outdoors.
Arthur is predeceased by his wife, Louise Yvonne (Berube) Lamontagne. He leaves his children, Darlene Lamontagne of Williams, AZ, Gary Lamontagne and his wife Susan of Pheonix, AZ and Jeffrey Lamontagne of Cheboygan, MI, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters, Irene Green and her husband Richard of Haverhill, MA and Cecile Peck and her husband Douglas of Newburyport, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 14th, 2010 at the Arthur J. Scott Funeral Home, 298 S. Broadway, Lawrence. A memorial service in honor of both Arthur and his late wife, Louise will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Their burial will take place immediately following the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
