Obituary

Mrs. Friederika Gilpatrick, of Wilmington passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness in her home with her family by her side on May 4th, she was 76 years of age. She was the beloved wife of the late Clinton K. Gilpatrick who passed away in 2002. Born in Ockstadt, Czechoslovakia she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Mathilde (Gartlers) Kleiner.

Mrs. Gilpatrick immigrated to the United States in 1957 and settled in Maine for a number of years. She moved to Wilmington in 1972 and has been a resident here ever since. Prior to her retirement she worked for many years at Analog Devices in Wilmington where she was involved with quality control. Mrs. Gilpatrick was mostly devoted to her family and in her leisure time she enjoyed gardening and reading. She also loved animals, especially her pet dachshunds. She was an active parishioner of St. Thomas of Villanova Church in Wilmington. She had a very caring and giving personality always supporting and contributing to many different charities throughout her life.

In addition to her late husband and parents, She is predeceased by her sister, the late Matilda Kleiner, and brother, the late Leopold Kleiner. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Candace O'Hara and her husband Andrew Holowenczak of Wilmington. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Thomas C. O'Hara and Lia Mae Holowenczak both of Wilmington.

Private funeral services were held on Thursday May 6th, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington followed with burial in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. It has been requested that memorial contributions may be made in Friederika's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01807.
