Mrs. Catherine Corley Moog
Augusta, GA---Mrs. Catherine Corley Moog, 92, entered into rest on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, tomorrow Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Hal Hodgens officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moog was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She loved working in her yard, which was showcased in the Augusta Magazine. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed playing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Moog was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Benjamin Moog, her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include, her son and daughter in law, Bernard and Sandra Moog, of Martinez, GA, daughter and son in law, Virginia Moog and Jerome Trapp, of Augusta, GA, brother, Reverend W. C. Corley, of Lawrenceville, GA, brother and sister in law, Charles and Grace Corley, of Columbia, SC, sister and brother in law, Carolyn Corley and Rick Jones, of Macon, GA, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends, this evening Monday, May 10, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons including, Russell Trapp, Russell Trapp, Jr., Scott Pollock, Ken Pollock, Michael Trapp, Brandon Trapp, Taylor Trapp and Preston Pye.
