Jewell W. McGuffee, 90, Clarksville, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Tim Parrish and Deacon Lisa Martin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. She was born July 5, 1919 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Robert Everett Clements and Ariva Smith Clements. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Isaac "Ike" Wallace and Frank McGuffee; and four brothers, Othel, Roy, Reams, and Wilbur "Bill" Clements. Mrs. McGuffee was retired from Montgomery Ward and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Michael S. Wallace; a daughter, Reda Wallace Blake (Phillip) both of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Susan Blake Kirschbaum (Lloyd), El Segundo, CA; and Matthew L. Blake (Anna), Clarksville; and five great-grandchildren, Blake and Grace Kirschbaum, and Maria, Dillon, and Andrew Blake. Pallbearers will be Matthew Blake, Max Clements, Frank "Pat" Cunningham, Tom Duffy, Chris Martin and Phil Whittinghill.
