George Lamontagne 83, of McArthur Rd. died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Doris (Therien) Lamontagne. Mr. Lamontagne was born in Woonsocket a son of the late George and Marie Rose (Marien) Lamontagne. Mr. Lamontagne was an expediter for Northrup Electronics for thirty years before retiring in1983. He was a well known musician and played the accordion with Utah Kid and the Prairie Pals.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Ronald Lamontagne and his wife Eve of Las Vegas, NV, a daughter Denise Gauthier Cabral and her husband Alan of Pascoag, a sister -in -law Estelle Therien of Harrisville, four grandchildren, Roni Lamontagne and his wife Maria, Jason, Christopher, and Davina Gauthier, two step granddaughters Sara and Caitlin Cabral, and three great grandchildren, Julian, Aidan, and Ian.
A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. arrangements are under the directions of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105-1942 in his memory would be appreciated.
