Thomas M. Peters, 84, of Westport died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA after a brief illness. He was the husband of Muriel M. (Martin) Peters, they were married for 60 years.
Born in Dartmouth, son of the late Christian C. and Lillian M. (Marshall) Condez-Peters, he had lived in Westport for over 40 years. He was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Prior to retirement, he was an electrician for the Local 223 which was the former Local 224. Mr. Peters volunteered for many years for the former George N. Alden Ambulance Corps in New Bedford. He really enjoyed doing his family’s genealogy.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: Thomas M. Peters, Jr. of Westport; 3 daughters: Eunice C. Felizberto of Tiverton, Linda A. Peters of Fort Plain, NY and Margaret M. Peters of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren: Bradley, Neil, Patrick, Jessica, Alyssa, Brittney, Camron and Jason; 3 great grandchildren: Karissa, Danica and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
