McCALL - Grace R. McCall, 80, of Amelia Island, FL passed away Tuesday Morning, May 4, 2010 at Osprey Village. She was born June 14, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Amelia Island 12 years ago from Lakeland, FL. Mrs. McCall was employed by various utility companies throughout her career. She was with JEA in Jacksonville, FL for over 20 years, spent several years in Gainesville, FL, and was director of utilities in High Point, NC and Lakeland, FL. She was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach, FL and was a member of The Daughters of the King in the Jacksonville and Lakeland, FL areas. Other memberships include the Republican Women's Club of Nassau County and the Rose Garden Club of Fernandina Beach. She had also been a mentor for the Take Stock in Children program in Lakeland. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Robert E. and Sharon McCall, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; two sisters, Nancy C. Graham of Fernandina Beach, FL and June R. Sullivan who lives in Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Messages of condolence may be left at www.greenpinefuneral.com.
