Verna Posey, 65 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, May 7, 2010 in Poulan Cemetery, Worth County with Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Posey was born December 1, 1944 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Lillian Posey Howington. She moved to Fitzgerald in 2002 from Albany. Ms. Posey was a member of the Potter’s Touch Church Worship Center.
She is survived by a sister: Brenda King of Fitzgerald; several cousins including: Diane & Joe Rogers of Poulan, Judy Douglas of Albany, Mary Young of Fitzgerald and Donald Posey of New Jersey. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Curtis Howington.
