Boston – Michael Robert Bruneau, a New Bedford resident, died May 3rd 2010 at Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 54 years of age. Mr. Bruneau was the loving husband of Filomena (DeBrum) Bruneau. He was born in Fall River, Ma. Son of Shirley (Emond) Bruneau from Fall River and the late Norman R. Bruneau. Prior to retirement he worked as a general contractor. He also worked at a power plant in Texas for 10 years. Mr. Bruneau served in the United States Air force. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Fairhaven, Ma. He also belongs to the Masons in New Bedford. He enjoyed playing cards, telling jokes, and loved fishing and was an avid hunter. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by three stepchildren, Joseph DeBrum from Taunton, and Andrew Hinchey, and Sabrina Hinchey both from New Bedford. He also was the loving brother of Dennis Bruneau of Wareham and Robert Collins of Lakeville and he also leaves four nephews.
