Tena Dolan, wife of Bernard “Barney” Dolan of Salem, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May, 3, 2010 at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Ma. Tena was born on February 27, 1937 in Rochester, NH, daughter of the late Olga and Howard Mulno. Tena was educated in the Lowell Schools, graduating from Lowell High School with the class of 1955. Tena was last employed in the Food Service Department at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Ma., retiring in 2002 after 17 years of service. Tena enjoyed traveling throughout most states in the US, attending many sporting events, making jigsaw puzzles, reading, and most of all she enjoyed being with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Tena is survived by two daughters, Robin (Richardson) Carrigg RN and husband Wayne, and grandchildren Daniel and Jessica Carrigg. Tena (Richardson) Ewing and husband Peter, and grandchildren Rachel, Jeffrey, and Lindsey Ewing all of Hudson, N.H. Tena is also survived by six step daughters, whom she truly loved and cherished. Debra (Dolan) Comtois, and husband Robert of Chelmsford, Ma. Lynn Dolan and Brenda Dolan both of Lowell, Ma., Susan (Dolan) Owen and husband Kenneth of Hampstead NH, Donna (Dolan) Shedd and husband Donald of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Dorothy Dolan of Lowell, Ma. Tena is also survived by an additional12 grandchildren, and 14 Great Grandchildren, a sister, Alice Silva RN and husband Arlindo of Salem, NH , two brothers, Frederick Mulno and wife Susan of Fl., and Richard Mulno and wife Elaine of Chandler, Az. Tena is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Tena was a Godmother to Timothy Shanahan of Boston, Ma., and David Siva of Lowell, Ma. Tena was predeceased by her first husband James Richardson and her daughter Deborah Richardson.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at the Goundrey and Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH.
