Henry (Murph) Stefani, Jr., 82, died May 3, 2010, at Quincy Medical Center after a brief illness. The huband of the late Muriel F. Stefani, he leaves his sister Virginia Stefani of Bluffton, SC, and her companion Leonard Russell; his brother Michael Stefani and his wife Kathy and their children, Cheranne Parker, Khristofer Stefani, Amy Jorud, and Bridget and Michael Stefani, all of Plymouth, and many great nieces and nephews.
Born in Plymouth, Mr. Stefani was the son of Henry and Rena (Maffini) Stefani. For many years, he travelled New England as sales representative for Pastene Liquors. He then became associated with the A. L. Ellis Curtain Company, selling the Plymouth company’s line of curtains and domestic linens throughout the area.
An avid golfer, Mr. Stefani was a long-time member of the Plymouth Country Club. His second love was boating; for many years, he and Muriel welcomed friends to Plymouth Marine’s “C” Dock, where the slightest encouragement would cause him to pop the engine covers to reveal “Hum & Strum”, the gleaming twin engines of “The Big M.” In a more serious vein, he was a well-known volunteer at Jordan Hospital.
A gifted photographer, Mr. Stefani applied his eye to capture familiar scenes in his beloved hometown. Friends will sorely miss his beautiful and unique holiday greeting cards.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, May 7, from 4 to 6 PM at the Richard A. Davis funeral home in North Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make donations to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.
