Obituary

DUDLEY - Raymond J. Sterczala, Sr., 67, of School Court, died Monday, May 3, 2010, after an illness.

He leaves 3 sons, Brian J. Sterczala of Worcester, Raymond J. Sterczala, Jr. of Webster and Daniel J. Sterczala of Dudley; 2 daughters, Paula J. Sterczala of Kentucky and Lisa J. Fleurie and her husband Daniel of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Erica, Shawn and Stephanie Fleurie; a brother, Bernard Sterczala of Worcester; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Sterczala in 1988.

He was born in Dudley, a son of Frank J. and Mary D. (Antkowiak) Sterczala and lived here all his life. He attended Webster Trade School.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Sterczala was a laborer at Cranston Print Works Company in Webster. He then worked for the Dudley Highway Department. He also worked at Webco Chemical and at Ardlock before retiring in 2006.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and was active in the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council.

The funeral will be held Monday, May 10, at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors. Calling hours are private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
