James M. Conroy, 72, of Medway died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Donna M. (Allard) Conroy since 1966.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on July 17, 1937, he was a son of the late James M. and Loretta (Doherty) Conroy.
Mr. Conroy grew up in Central Falls, Rhode Island and graduated from St. Raphael’s Academy and Providence College. He lived in Houston, Texas for many years until moving to Medway in 2003.
Mr. Conroy was a Marine veteran serving for four years during the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Neil Conroy of Franklin and a daughter, Rachael Clasby of Holliston.
He is also survived by six grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Quinn of Lincoln, Rhode Island.
He was the brother of the late Stephen Conroy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 6 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin. A service will be at 6:45 p.m.
Burial with military honors will take place on Friday, May 7 at 1:45 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
