LOWELL - Frank O. Lane Sr., age 56, a Lowell school department employee for 17 years, diedSaturday, Oct. 25, at his home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sharon B. (Ward)Lane, with whom he had celebrated a 32nd wedding anniversary this past May 29th.
He was born in Lowell, Sept. 11, 1947, a son of the late Alden and Clara May (Webber) Lane. He was raised in Lowell, and lived in Pelham, NH, before returning to lowell 30 years ago.
In his earlier years, he was a member of Local 429 AFL-CIO Laborers Union in Lowell. For thelast 17 years he had worked in the custodial and maintenance department of the Lowell SchoolSystem, most recently at the Moody School.
He enjoyed travel, and Foxwood and Mohegan Sun casino play and shows.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Valerie Lane of Mechanicsville, VA; a son,Timothy Lane of Lowell, and his companion Kelly Keraghan of Dracut; a brother and sister-in-law, James and his wife Mary (O’Connell) Stirling of Lowell; a sister, Alberta Meadows ofLowell; a special brother-in-law, Daniel Ward of Pelham; and numerous brothers-in-law andsisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also father of the late Frank O. Lane Jr., who died in 1987, and brother of the lateDorothy Smith, and Katherine Bevis.
His funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 28. Interment was in Lowell Cemetery.
