Obituary

Worcester - Alan D. Hilli, 69, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Rose Monahan Hospice. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Beverly A. (Cane) Hilli, a daughter, Hope Ann Hilli, 2 sisters Joyce Bronzo and Priscilla Smith and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Theodore R. Hilli, Sr., Lawrence Hilli, and Arnold Hilli, and by 1 sister Karen (Hilli) Bove.

Alan was born in Worcester, son of Theodore and Vieno (Biedilla) Hilli. He graduated from North High School and attended Northeastern University. After proudly serving his country in the US Army, Alan worked as a firefighter for the city of Worcester, retiring in August 1986. He also bartended at Moynagh's Tavern for many years. He was a charter member of the Hilltoppers Club, worked at Industrial Insulation, was an avid Red Sox fan, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Services for Alan were held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Following cremation, burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS MAY ASSEMBLE at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 10, to drive in procession to St. John's Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
