
Mrs. Carmela Pugliares, age 82 of Medford died Friday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She is the wife of Vincent Pugliares with whom she shared more than 58 years of marriage. Mrs. Pugliares was born and educated in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Francesca (Catamigra) DeGrande. She worked for many years as a candy packer for the former H.W. Powers Candy Company and later for Bailey’s Candy Company of Malden. She was a family minded person who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Carla Garofalo and her husband George of Medford, a son Vincent Pugliares and his wife Lorene of Rowley. Loving grandmother of Lisa and Jessica Garofalo, Michelle, Vincent and Ryan Pugliares, a niece, Francine DeGrande-Rosenthal. Predeceased by a brother, Joseph DeGrande.
