Ms. Betty Sue Beck, age 59, of Siloam, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010 at her home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Surry County on May 25, 1950. Betty was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and was loved by many.Ms. Beck retired from Surry Community College and was a member of Pine Hill Friends Church.Ms. Beck is survived by her parents, Dock and Hattie Mae Crissman Beck; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger (Claudine) Beck and Jimmy (Deana) Beck, both of Siloam; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Wade) Key of Siloam and Judy (Benton) Gillespie of Dobson; several nieces and nephews, Jason and Sheri Beck, Julie and Tony Young, John and Amanda Gillespie, Alice Cockerham, Holly and Jason McCraw, Karen and Bryan Eller, Emily and Lanny Whitaker, Hanna and Justin Smeltzer; and ten great nieces and nephews.Ms. Beck was preceded in death by one brother, Benny Ray Beck.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2010 at Pine Hill Friends Church at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Michael Thames officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery.Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.Memorial Contributions may be made to, Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
