FALL RIVER...George Rodrigues, Sr., 67, of Westport died Friday, October 24, 2003 atSt. Anne's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Nancy (Boan) Rodrigues.
He was born in Westport son of the late Zulmiro and Ermelinda (Barboza)Rodrigues and lived there all his life. He was formerly employed by Cornell Dubilier as amanger until his retirement. He was a graduate of Westport High School and attendedBradford-Durfee Technology College of Fall River.
Mr. Rodrigues was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons: Charles A. Rodrigues of OldTown, ME, George Rodrigues, Jr. and his wife Sheryl of Dighton and James R.Rodrigues of Westport; 1 daughter: Nancy S. Rodrigues of Westport; 3 brothers: AntoneRodrigues of Westport, Joseph Rodrigues of Fall River and Francis Rodrigues ofMeriden, CT; 3 sisters: Almerinda Tenchora, Beatrice Harrison and Helena Tripp all ofWestport; a grandson: George Rodrigues III; and several nieces & nephews. He wasbrother of the late John Rodrigues, Joaquim Rodrigues and Albert Rodrigues.
