Obituary

Methuen, MA- Carol A. (Kalil) Costa, 72, died Friday, April 30th peacefully at her home with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lawrence, on September 6th 1937, Carol was the daughter of Joseph and Marianne (O’Keefe) Kalil. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and later went on to attend Secretarial School.
Carol loved to shop and enjoyed helping other people shop. For more than 10 years she worked at the Rockingham Mall at various stores, such as Casual Corner and Zale’s as a retail consultant.
Carol’s greatest joy in life was her family; she took pride in raising and caring for them and enjoyed their company. She was very active and enjoyed living a healthy and fit lifestyle. She was a very crafty and creative person who enjoyed sewing and writing poetry. One of her favorite activities was Ball room Dance classes she would take with her friends.
She will never be forgotten and will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Carol is survived and will be deeply missed by her three Children, Michael J. Costa and his wife Karen of Methuen, Jo-Ann Phillips and her husband Steven of Methuen and Trisha Costa-Ives of Arlington. She will also be deeply missed by her three grandchildren, Kayla, Rebeka and Katie, two brothers, Gordon and William Kalil and one sister Kathleen Rezek as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: At Carol’s request all arrangements are private and under the direction of the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen.
