Mrs. Elvira Ferrante, age 91, of Medford, passed away Wednesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Portland, ME she was the daughter of the late Almarinda (Castellucci) and Vincenzo DeStefanis. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Ferrante. Mrs. Ferrante, known by her friends and family as Eva, was a resident of Medford for close to seventy years. She was devoted to her family and was a beloved friend and neighbor.
Mrs. Ferrante is survived by two daughters; Anna M. Binda and her husband Leonard of Medford, Theresa L. Cronan of Belmont and one son; C. Thomas Ferrante and his wife Iva of Arlington. She is the loving grandmother of Kathryn Sundberg, Francis Binda, Jeanne McCoy, Stephen, Drew, and Ruth Eva Ferrante, Christine Lestan, Diane Dunster, Denise Johnson and nine loving great grandchildren. Sister of John DeStefanis of Medford.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Monday at 10 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Cambridge City Cemetery.
