Obituary

Worcester - Philip N. Cardinal, 74, of 425 Pleasant St. a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict died Tuesday Jan. 22 in the Providence House Extended Care Facility of Worcester.

He leaves three sons Kenneth Cardinal of Webster, Kevin Cardinal of Millbury and Brian Cardinal of Worcester; four daughters Linda McNabb of Ayer, Deborah Bombard, Shauna Lowe and Barbara Smith all of Worcester; his former wife Barbara (Speakman) Cardinal of; 13 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Cardinal was born in Worcester son of Raymond and Mary (Finnen) Cardinal and graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade School.

Mr. Cardinal served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He worked as a toolmaker for the George Meyer's Company for many years retiring in 1989. He was a member of the English Social Club in Worcester and the Tatnuck Square American Legion Post #288.

The funeral service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 PM on Wenesday Jan. 23 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
