Marie-Pierre Pamela Diana passed away suddenly on April 28, 2010 at Backus Hospital in Norwich.
Pam was the daughter of the late Michael and Aurore Diana. She grew up in Hamden and graduated from Hamden High School in 1964 and from Annhurst College in Woodstock, Connecticut with a degree in English in 1968. She obtained a Master’s Degree from Eastern Connecticut State College in counseling in 1987. Pam was a valued and treasured teacher at St. Bernard High School where she touched the lives of students for almost 42 years.
Pam is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Isabelle and Erik Perry of Princeton Junction, New Jersey, and their children Daniel, Rebecca and Benjamin, and Daniel’s wife, Frances and their daughter, Cameron. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Thomas Maguire of Palm City, Florida and their children Rose and Thomas III. Pam leaves behind many dear friends, including Julie Mann and Peter Percy with whom she shared many years of joy, laughter and fragrant flowers from Julie’s garden.
A memorial service will take place in the auditorium of St. Bernard High School on Tuesday, May 4th at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Mass will also be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, Main St., Mystic on Wednesday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers and in concert with the spirit of Pam’s giving heart, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Bernard High School Tuition Assistance Program, 1593 Norwich-New London Turnpike, Uncasville, CT 06382-1399. There will be no viewing or calling hours. Cremation will follow per Pam’s request.
