Marilyn Ann (Hopkinson) Rounds, 77, of Westport, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with an illness. She was wife of the late Donald K. Rounds.
Born in Westport, daughter of the late Alfred L. and Hilma P. (Chace) Hopkinson, she was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, she was a home health aide in local private homes for over 35 years. Mrs. Rounds enjoyed gardening, birds and crocheting, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Deborah A. Thibault of Westport, Mary R. Phelan of Rehoboth and Dawn R. Houlker-Azar of Rehoboth; 5 sisters: Martha J. Cowen Davis of Wilmington, NC, Meribah M. Henriques of Tiverton, Merva R. Gray of Westport, Norma B. Rose of Falmouth and Myrtle L. Earle of Westport; 7 grandchildren: Maura, Wendy, Holly, Ryan, Kristy, Surrey and Donny; 3 great grandchildren: Michayla, Nicholas and Aaron; 3 son-in-laws: James, Kevin and Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Calvin Hopkinson and Stanley Hopkinson.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
