ALVA HARRISON “AL” SNYDER, 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
He was a retired truck driver for A & P Grocery, a member of the DAV, Ormsby Heights Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alva Lee Snyder, and his grandson, Scott Snyder.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 66 years, Neva Nell (Martin) Snyder; his son, Dennis Snyder (Ann); grandsons, Mark and Michael Snyder; adopted grandson, Edward Snyder; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 3 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
