Esther M. (Smith) Bethoney, 84, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Dorchester Schools. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 15 years. Mrs. Bethoney was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.
She was the mother of Deborah A. Cummins of Stoughton, Thomas Gerber of Everett and the late Robert Gerber, Alice Gerber and Bruce Bethony Jr. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Maitlin, Martin Smith, Laura Smith, Eugene Smith and Charles Smith. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours omitted.
