Marie Jeanne A. (Leclerc) Benoit, 89, of Bedford died April 26, 2010 at Genesis Healthcare Center after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on August 20, 1920, she was the daughter of Charles and Angeline (Boisvert) Leclerc. She lived in Manchester most of her life.
Mrs. Benoit worked at McQuade’s Clothing Store many years. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The family includes her husband of 63 years, George E. Benoit of Bedford; five children, Lien Brent Dilernia and Gerard Benoit both of San Francisco, CA, Elaine Smith of Portland, ME, Evelyn Desrochers of Port St. Lucie, FL and Paul Benoit of Hooksett; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held Friday, April 30, 2010 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
