McGUIRE - Charles E. McGuire, Sr., 75, passed away Monday evening, April 26, 2010 at his Fernandina Beach, FL residence. He was born February 3, 1935 in Ashe County, NC and moved to Fernandina Beach two years ago from Titusville, FL. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. McGuire was a Korean War Veteran serving with the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jayne McGuire of Fernandina Beach, FL; three sons Charles E. "Ed" McGuire, Jr. (Trudy) of Locust Grove, GA, Richard L. "Rick" McGuire (Laura) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Kenneth "Ken" McGuire of Titusville, FL; two brothers, Owen McGuire (Josephine) and Stewart McGuire (Billie); three sisters, Effie Wooten, Doris Wishon and Shirley Sidden (J.T.); six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday April 29, in the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors, McDonough, GA. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
